Artist Talk on Caravaggio

Pauline from Kaukapakapa

Artist Talk on Caravaggio as part of a relaxed ‘Cafe Style’ Church service this Sunday at 10.30, Helensville Community Church, 40 Mill Road. Refreshments are available throughout the service at no cost and questions are welcomed throughout the powerpoint talk. Presenter, blacksmith Chris Ellwood, is both professional and personable in his presentation, combining information, warmth and humour throughout. Caravaggio was a genius who loved the life of a wealthy young man in a big city. His art was bright and flamboyant. His pictures were the toast of the town, and it seemed that nothing could taint his fame. Then this rash, gifted and passionate young man made a big mistake, and a man was killed. On the run, Caravaggio is confronted by his mortality and begins to reassess his life.

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.

This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
Do you think NZ should follow suit? Vote in our poll and share your thoughts below.
