Pixar editor trades California for Snells Beach
Former Pixar editor and animator Kathy Toon relocated from California to Snells Beach to work on New Zealand's first fully 3D animated film, Mosley. About the same number of people as the entire 4.9 million population of New Zealand lived within an hour and a half radius of her home in California, and although she "loved her town", she was happy to trade it for less crowds and a shorter commute to Huhu Studios.
Mosley hits cinemas on October 10, conveniently during the school holidays. Will you be watching?
