Drop-in Book Sales
The Rotary Club of Whanganui is to hold monthly Drop-in Book sales in the Church Hall at the All Saints Church, Whanganui East starting on Wednesday 24 May and thereafter on the 3rd Wednesday of each Month. Sales will be open from 11.00am to 3.00pm and all books will be priced at $2 each. Categories in Week One will be Fiction and Biographies/Autobiographies

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
