Rest Home residents and family were able to finish the day inspecting the new build and were noticeably impressed by spacious rooms including four lounges along with wireless internet and heated entrance ramp.

Interim reports from the helicopter crash which killed local Wanaka pilot Nick Wallis and Department of Conservation workers Paul Hondelink and Scott Theobald, have been released.
A pair of over-trousers flew from the cabin of the helicopter and became tangled in the tail rotor, causing the crash that killed the three men, investigator say.
Investigators found paint marks on the over-trousers matched the colour and profile of the tail rotor blades, and marks on a tail rotor blade matched a zip and dome connector on the over-trousers. To read more, click here.
The Transport Accident Investigation Commission (TAIC) has published interim reports into the October 18 crash. The report issued on Thursday are interim reports, so include no formal findings.
