Athletics Southland vice-chairman of the track and field committee Phil Hartley said the children all got on well, both in their sports and in their sportsmanship, some making new friends at the weekend.
Southland athletes bagged 30 medals overall with many others close to getting a place or scoring personal bests, he said.

There is a proliferation of them in this area at the moment and I have knocked a nest on the head with the Kiwi Care wasp eliminator which works well.
Wasps are a danger to kids, pets and harrass the hell out of the native birds to. So could you please just check and if you find one then get rid of it.
