Moving to the Kaiti area.

Noel from Gisborne District

Hi there, My wife & I are moving into the Kaiti area at the beginning of February & I wish to become involved in the communitty there, I have been in the Te Hapara area for the past 24 years & for 20 of those years I was involved in the Communitty Night Patrols. After that I have been involved in Neighbourhood Support & was the Co-ordinator for 4 Groups. I have just been succesfull in raising a some of money as an Activities Fund for those groups to be able to cator for gatherings & or functions for their members & familys.
We are going to reside at the Dunblane Retirement Village, & I would like to hear from any Neighbourhood organisations close by, especailly those having a priority on community safey.

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”

We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?

Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
