Bowel Cancer Screening Programme Launch

Stephanie Gray from Nelson Marlborough Health

Walk through a gigantic inflatable colon (bowel) and see what happens on the inside. At the Liz Davidson Place, Corner Queen and Charles Sts, Blenheim at noon to 5.30pm on Thursday, 16 August the bowel screening team is celebrating the launch of the screening programme in the Nelson region.

You can see a demonstration of the test kits and take home important information for your whanau and friends.

If you are 60 – 74 years of age (or know someone who is) make sure your GP has your postal details up to date.

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
