Hi neighbours, it's Baz here from the Nelson Marlborough Rescue Helicopter. Summit Real Estate and the team have kick-started a fundraising campaign to help us purchase two new sets of Night Vision Goggles – used in a third of all our callouts. These do not come cheap at $18,000 each, but allow us to fly safely at night and save lives in the community.

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
