Can you help us improve our services?
We want to improve our services for Aucklanders. To make sure we are on the right track, we are looking for people to give us feedback on the services we offer.
We are looking for people who:
• Are over 18 years old
• Don’t work for Auckland Council
• Have done one or more of the following since 1 January this year:
o Applied for a food licence
o Applied for a community grant or loan
o Made an official information request
o Phoned or emailed Council to get something fixed, such as noise, mowing or a damaged bin
o Requested a property information file or land information memorandum (LIM)
o Joined a Auckland Council library as a new member
o Applied for a building consent
o Made a submission on the Auckland Plan or 10-year plan
o Joined a leisure centre (gym or pool) as a new member
o Contacted Auckland Council on social media to get something fixed
If you are interested in helping and you're available for a 15 minute phone interview, please email stephen.mckernon@aucklandcouncil.govt.nz with your phone number and let us know which service you have used.

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?
As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
-
59.3% Yes, supporting people is important!
-
25.5% No, individuals should take responsibility
-
15.2% ... It is complicated
