Free Over 60 Women's Self Defence Course
Age Concern Hawke's Bay has partnered with The Women's Self Defence Network - Wahine Toa to offer a FREE Over 60 Women's Self Defence Course on 22 November 2022 at the War Memorial Hall in Waipukurau. Course is from 10am-2pm.
In this course you will learn to think confidently, speak strongly and use Self Defence skills when necessary. You will learn ways of dealing with unsafe situations including:
- How to deal with being followed
- Acquaintance and stranger attacks
- Sexual harassment
- Getting out of grabs and holds
- How to think their way out of threatening situations.
- Healthy/Unhealthy relationships
The course style is participatory, practical, fun and empowering. It includes discussions, games, physical sessions and role-plays.
