Members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community are coming to Northland to educate about Islam and to fight Islamophobia. As part of the campaign, they will have a Meet a Muslim Exhibition at the Tikipunga market, this Sunday, from 7am to 11am. Spokesperson Sabah Al-Zafar says the aim is for Kiwis to get to know Muslims and ask any questions they have about Islam.
Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?
As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
