Recall issued for Countdown brand Trevally FIllets
Countdown brand Trevally Fillets sold throughout the North Island and online on the Countdown website has been recalled due to an elevated level of histamine, which can cause scombroid poisoning.
Customers are asked to check the date mark on the product label for best before dates from 16.Nov.18 to 26.Nov.18. Those who have this product between these best before dates are warned not to consume the Trevally Fillets and return the products for a full refund. Police are working to locate Steven Te Maru Walters, who has a warrant for his arrest and is wanted by Police.
Walters, 40, is wanted by Police in relation to breaching his release conditions and is known to frequent the Whangārei area. It’s believed he is actively avoiding Police.
