Mount Parihaka - worth a climb
Today I walked the Drummond and Dobbie tracks in the Mount Parihaka Scenic Reserve for the first time since their recent refurbishment. The tracks were in great shape, and I found the climb uphill to be a bit easier than in the past, maybe because of the additional stairs that were put in. The view from the lookout over Whangarei Harbour is a nice reward for the effort, in my opinion. If you haven't been up there for a while (or at all), maybe give it a go - I think it's well worth it.
