Monthly scripts
How many others are concerned about the new ruling from the government about scripts for opioids needing to be written monthly now. This includes many drugs including codeine, and paracode (Panadeine}, I know these drugs can be abused by many but I have two concerns. Having to see the Dr every month incurs additional cost and for some is prohibitive - will they simply suffer in pain as they cant afford the cost? Secondly it is near impossible to get an appointment with a GP in a timely manner - how much more pressure will these extra visits create for an already over stretched system? What do others think?
