Are you looking for something to give back to the community - what about volunteering for North Canterbury Riding for the Disabled? If you are a "horse" person, or even if you are not, this is an amazing organization full of wonderful people who are dedicated to helping those of us who are less able have some enjoyment. It has been long proven that riding has so many benefits, physically, psychologically, emotionally, educationally and most of all so good for the self-esteem of those with challenges. As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

Musicians Wanted

‘Rangiora Bells’ is seeking musicians to join the handbell choir. We are a friendly group of handbell ringers who enjoy making music and entertaining at community groups.
If you would like to come and have a go at ringing handbells, please come along to one of our practice sessions. No commitment necessary if you decide that this is not for you.
An ability to read basic music notation preferred.
Practice days – Thursdays 1pm – 2.30pm
