House to Rent (still looking)

Lynda from Kaiapoi

Hiya neighbours, we are still on the lookout for a suitable house to rent in Kaiapoi. We are both older folks, we don't smoke and have no pets. We would like a long term rental, preferably a three bedroom home, but we can probably consider a two bedroom if the garage is of the larger type so that we can store our bikes and I can continue working at my small business. We want to stay in Kaiapoi as we both like it here. A garden would be welcome as Paul has a keen interest in that.
We also have excellent references. So if you know of anywhere that might be suitable please get in touch, we have wee bit of time yet but as we all know time is a fleeting thing, so if you know or have heard of something that may suit please get in touch. Thank you to all, Lynda and Paul.😄

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
