Congratulations to Oxford Area School's prizewinners
Oxford Area School's students have been honoured for their "tenacity and hard work" at the North Canterbury school's annual senior prizegiving.
The annual awards were given out at a ceremony at the Oxford Town Hall earlier this month November, with Ellie Tizzard named 2019 dux (top scholar).
Principal Mike Hart congratulated all students for their efforts this year.
"This is an opportunity for students to be honoured for their tenacity and hard work throughout the year and to be recognised for these efforts."

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?
As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
