Public speaking skills boost confidence, bolster bank balance for North Canterbury businessman
Starting out in business as an 18-year-old with a stutter, Michael Heaven had his fair share of obstacles to overcome to be treated as an equal among fellow businessmen.
Ten years later and with two businesses under his belt, Heaven said he wanted to better equip himself for overseas business meetings and signed up to his local Toastmasters club to hone his public speaking skills.
