Stay On Track

Door Man from Waimak Window & Door Repairs

You'd think plastic or nylon rollers wouldn't do too much damage to aluminium - but here's one I recently fixed that had got jammed up with fluff and dust and worn right through to the steel bearing.
Then the steel ground away the soft aluminium track below every time it got dragged open and shut for months.
Replacing rollers is a straightforward and quick job.
Replacing a worn out track is much more tricky and expensive.
So the next time you've got the vacuum out - run it over your sliding door track to remove dust & debris and keep those rollers clean. It's easy to do and you'll save yourself money.
If it's too late and the rollers have started wearing away and your sliding doors are getting hard to open give Jim a call 021 0688932 or send him a message to help get it fixed.

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?

Apple tree

Rosemary from Woodend

Mature tree. Blush Babe from Waimea nursery is a dwarf variety. A new plant is $70. I'd like $50 for this tree that is about 7 years old.
