Veggie Plants Waikanae Market this Saturday plus potted colour to brighten your day

Val from Otaki District

It's time to start thinking about your spring garden!
The weather has been against garlic planters: too much moisture. Cloves have rotted in the ground. We have well established plants ready to go into your garden beds and ramp away.
Also parsley, celery, spring onions and a limited amount of broccoli cabbages, cauli, pak choy and silverbeet.

Looking for a bit of brightness in your flower beds or some pots on the doorstep? We all need a bit of cheering up. We have large potted polyanthus, violas, and pansies that will brighten up your garden beds, pots or just fill a few gaps and flower through until late spring. Pansies must go this weekend - we need the space!

Look for our stall partway down Park Avenue.

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
