WELCOME RAIN
Although the possibility of seriously heavy rain predicted by the orange watch failed to arrive, there were a couple of hours of good steady rain from 7.00 am, Saturday that delivered around 20 mm, which would have been very welcome by many on a dry Kapiti Coast. A second drizzly front mid afternoon/evening produced another 13 mm.
Despite the switch to summer time, and the equinox last evening when the sun crossed the equator to our hemisphere, the next few weeks are renowned for their unsettled, windy weather, so it's not a good time to travel.
Poll: Should all neighbours have to contribute to improvements?
An Auckland court has ruled a woman doesn’t have to contribute towards the cost of fixing a driveway she shares with 10 neighbours.
When thinking about fences, driveways or tree felling, for example, do you think all neighbours should have to pay if the improvements directly benefit them?
