The number of new publicly owned entities to manage water, stormwater and waste-water services increases from four to 10

Start date pushed out to 1 July, 2026 instead 1 July 2024

Plans to provide $1.5 billion "better off" funding to councils abandoned

The $1.5 billion invested instead by the ten new publicly owned entities into providing water, stormwater and wastewater services

Raises questions about impact withdrawing "better off" funding from Council's will have on the financial books.
