Stormy is looking for a calm retirement home
www.forgottenfelines.org.nz...
Stormy came to us after her owner died. The family was unaware he had a cat, so she spent 3 weeks on her own before we were called out to trap her. She is approximately 10- 11yrs old and had been with her human dad since she was a kitten.
She is very timid at first and will need a quiet, pet-free home.
Such a lovely, sweet-natured cat once she gets to know you. Loves sitting on your chest and being very close to you.
She would suit an older person or couple who is home most of the time very well.
She is also eligible for our foster to adopt program. Foster to adopt homes can be in Wellington, Hutt, Kapiti, or Levin.
What is Foster-to-Adopt you might ask?
This is where you take home a cat that might be a bit shyer at first, and give them time to warm up to you and your family. The period for FTA is around 4-6 weeks, depending on the cat. This ensures we have matched the right cat for your family, before finalising the adoption. Cats will remain owned by F3 during the foster period and the same terms apply to all our foster cats.
Please visit our info page under the adoption tab to learn about adopting from us.

As with all of our adoptable cats, he is looking for a home that can commit to keeping him inside at night. Any young kittens need to remain indoor-only until at least 6 months of age and cats over 6 months old for at least 4 weeks before going outside.
Poll: 🤖 What skills do you think give a CV the ultimate edge in a robot-filled workplace?
The Reserve Bank has shared some pretty blunt advice: there’s no such thing as a “safe” job anymore 🛟😑
Robots are stepping into repetitive roles in factories, plants and warehouses. AI is taking care of the admin tasks that once filled many mid-level office jobs.
We want to know: As the world evolves, what skills do you think give a CV the ultimate edge in a robot-filled workplace?

Some Choice News!
DOC is rolling out a new tool to help figure out what to tackle first when it comes to protecting our threatened species and the things putting them at risk.
Why does this matter? As Nikki Macdonald from The Post points out, we’re a country with around 4,400 threatened species. With limited time and funding, conservation has always meant making tough calls about what gets attention first.
For the first time, DOC has put real numbers around what it would take to do everything needed to properly safeguard our unique natural environment. The new BioInvest tool shows the scale of the challenge: 310,177 actions across 28,007 sites.
Now that we can see the full picture, it brings the big question into focus: how much do we, as Kiwis, truly value protecting nature — and what are we prepared to invest to make it happen?
We hope this brings a smile!
