What a pleasure to meet Hayley Parsons of Clarks Beach, Auckland. She and husband Chris relocated this huge three-storey villa from Palmerston North to Auckland, and project managed the rebuild of Huntly House from London. Wonderful house, wonderful history.
Our Pet of the Day is Cleo who belongs to Elizabeth Innes from Berhampore. Cleo loves running around on Kāpiti Beach.

Now we do not live on the infamous earthquake fault line but its pretty close by; tsunamis are unlikely to infiltrate so far up the valley as Trentham; the ground is solid and clayish.
But safe from flooding??
The Hutt River is a dominating feature of the Hutt Valley and its potential to rise furiously and break through the man-made tentative barriers that are meant to bind it, must create some trepidation for those who live on its level.
So is Trentham over towards the eastern hills safe from flooding? I don't think so.
Heard today of one Wellington region guy aged in early 30s, fit and healthy called up for forthcoming Covid 19 vaccination under the banner of him being a Group 3 recipient. How many more errors are there like this?
Our travel bubble with our friends across the ditch is under pressure with Covid proving hard to bring under control in New South Wales. Closing the border would have a dramatic impact on areas like Queenstown.

England defeated its old rival, Germany for the first time in 50 years and England fans and non fans were jumping for joy at game's end but not one little spectactor dressed for a funeral. He remained solumn.
