Their music creates unique experiences for audiences of all ages, drawing on musical traditions both new and old, stories past and present, and bringing together different cultural practices and perspectives. The concert will feature material from their debut album as well as new improvisational pieces, where listeners are encouraged to move beyond convention into new sonic territory.
A market designed to include everything dog related is coming to Upper Hutt's Brewtown on Sunday May 28, 9am to 2pm.
So there will be stalls, toys, treats, chews, training aids, apparel, info on doggy day care centres and boarding facilities.
Well behaved dogs can come along too.

Well behaved dogs can come along too.
Brewtown has always been open to dogs accompanying their handlers in a lot of the facilities at Brewtown.
This could become the second annual "expo" involving dogs in the Wellington region. The other is the Wellington Pet Expo staged in Porirua.
The Pet Expo costs up to $10 per person entry fee. The Barket costs a gold coin donation.

I couldn't clap eyes on any kingfishers today but there was plenty of other birdlife, and most of them seemed to be performing ablutions including a fantail (unfortunately he was well hidden when he was bathing so the photo isn't very good!)."

The KiwiRail control centre at the Blue Mountains Campus, Wallaceville is now operating in its new building and a part of the refurbished and restored Buddle Building is completed and part or all its ground floor of the four storey section of the building iis now occupied.
But it wiil be a few … View moreThe KiwiRail control centre at the Blue Mountains Campus, Wallaceville is now operating in its new building and a part of the refurbished and restored Buddle Building is completed and part or all its ground floor of the four storey section of the building iis now occupied.
But it wiil be a few months before the remainder of Buddle Building is ready for occupancy including the cafe which will service both staff people in the campus and the public in general.
Next on the list of refurbisment etc are the two historical multi-storied buildings and the timber construction of two -four large single storied buildings.
But the developers are considering making some of the historical buildings residential instead of all commercial or doing a mix of residential and commercial elsewhere in the complex.
So far only KiwiRail and Ministry of Business Development etc have taken up tenancy. I believe TransDec are considering shifting part of their operation to BMC partially in favouring linking its connection with KiwiRail. Transdec operates the suburban railways in the Wellington and Wairarapa regions.
Buddle Building was proposed to have been available last December and according to a senior construction person on site, its delay is not due to material shortages nor staffing shortages.
My lovely cleaner has moved to another city, so I need a replacement. Must like small dogs, and come with references that I can validate. I am looking for about 2 hours every fortnight with occasional extra hours 😊

I can't believe how many kingfishers are around but most of the time, they have been too far away on the powerlines to get decent photos of but it was a bonus today seeing one on a post in the driving range car park!
I have also spent some time watching the pesky blackbirds and waxeyes munch their way through the grapes on the grapevine."
