SAVE MONEY WITH MORE CYCLEWAYS?

Michael from Trentham

A new candidate for the mayoralty of Upper Hutt has emerged but
I don't think Wayne Guppy is going to have many sleepless nights over this person who wants to save ratepayers money and rates increases such as the whopping 20% proposed for next financial year, and spend rates money more wisely.

See, this "Greenie-type" person happens to pitch for more cycle lanes and not a stoppage on what we have already been lumbered with while jumping on the bandwagon of turning pot holes into pot stands.

Cycle lanes are expensive and I say any more are unwanted for at least the next 30 years. And this coming from not only a cyclist but one who rides a full blown racing cycle.

Poll: Would you participate in local initiatives aimed at stopping plastic from reaching our oceans?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

Volunteers will be scouring the foreshore, riverbanks, and islands for rubbish on Saturday the 13th as part of the Clean Up the Hutt event.

This initiative helps stop plastic from reaching our oceans and makes our waterways cleaner and safer for everyone.

We want to know: Should this be rolled out across all coastal cities in Aotearoa? And more importantly… would you get involved? 💚

Want the details? The Post has you covered.
