ONE END OF WORLD TO ANOTHER
Norway has 5÷6 million people and is the furthest north one can find a country with a significant population. NZ has 5-6 million and is furthest south.
The two countries clashed in the first of the womens FIFA world cup 2023 and against all odds winless NZ won over the highly rated Norweigans.
It was an outstanding, astonishing display by the NZ women.
It should mean a sellout crowd at Wellington Stadium next Tuesday when NZ meets the Phillipines - a side rated below our ranking.

Biding Time - Time Out
It is so sad to see and hear an honest, solid achieving gentleman politician that is Joe Biden, the leader of the free world and the leader of the number one super power and economic giant nation, fail in mind and body so that he is no longer hanging on in facing the terror and threat of the appaulingTrump retaking the reigns of power.
Well before the presidents debate of last Friday was it obvious Biden was not up to the mark anymore. The use of a telepronter made his recent State of the Union speech sound pitch perfect but his slip-up performances at the G7 meetings in Italy a few weeks ago was reported as pitiful
The sooner he calls it quits from contesting the Presidency and orchestrates the Vice President, Harris take over wiining the November elections for the Democrats, the better.
Make no mistake the writing is on the wall for Biden.
Whoever wins the USA presidency for the next 4 years from the start of 2025 Harris or Trump - will affect NZ and Upper Hutt enormously.
