Come along and sew (and take one home) Boomerang Bags, reusable cloth shopping bags – it’s free!
Learners, and experienced sewers welcome, sewing machines available or BYO.
Materials supplied, although donations of fabric, threads and sewing machine needles much appreciated they may be brought along to Maidstone Intermediate or delivered to Thimbles and Threads, Main Street, Upper Hutt.
Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult

Black Cat Loose And (Maybe) Lost
Spied a fit looking back cat mid morning today at the Wallaceville railway station looking lost and frightened. He/she followed some young people and a few minutes later returned and then ran onto the tracks in seeing my Corgi. Trains not in service until the afternoon.
This riddle is a classic, neighbours, can you figure it out?
You throw away the outside and cook the inside.
Then you eat the outside and throw away the inside.
