Taitā candidate running in council elections
Kia Ora, I’m Brady Dyer, a local candidate standing for re-election as a city-wide councillor. At this years election you can choose up to six city-wide councillors, so I’m trying to rally a bit of homegrown support from my neighbours. I love living in this part of our city, and have really enjoyed making new friends since buying our first home here just over a year ago. If you have any questions, or want to know where I stand on anything, please flick me a message or visit my website dyer.nz
Poll: Would you participate in local initiatives aimed at stopping plastic from reaching our oceans?
Volunteers will be scouring the foreshore, riverbanks, and islands for rubbish on Saturday the 13th as part of the Clean Up the Hutt event.
This initiative helps stop plastic from reaching our oceans and makes our waterways cleaner and safer for everyone.
We want to know: Should this be rolled out across all coastal cities in Aotearoa? And more importantly… would you get involved? 💚

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝
In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”
We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?
Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
