Corgi Racing Lining Up
It's quirky and its unique - third annual Black Hawk Wellington Corgi Races will be staged at the Belmont Domain, Lower Hutt on Saturday, December 4 with the first heat starting at 2pm.
Anyone can enter their pure bred Pembroke or Cardigan Corgi from anywhere and in this fun event not necessarily the fastest Corgi over the 60 metres wins.
Generous prizes for the first three in the final but every Corgi lining up in the heats gets Black Hawk gifts.
ENTRY IS FREE.
Last year there were around 300 spectators with 23 Corgis at the starting blocks..
Covid protocols will be observed.
Media interest is assured.
Corgis with an uncontrollable adverse attitude issue should not be entered.
Black Hawk is premium dry (kibble), wet (canned) and treats dog food products made in Australia and NZ.
If weather is lousy, Sunday is the reserve day.
The event is organised by Wellington Welsh Corgi Club which among other activities has monthly Corgi meet-ups.
