Upper Hutt City Council is asking for your views on the proposed Solid Waste Management and Minimisation Bylaw. This bylaw has been developed in coordination with other councils in the Wellington region. You can view the Statement of proposal, which includes the draft bylaw at upperhuttcity.com/Have-your-say
The Solid Waste Management and Minimisation Bylaw is expected to:
Provide clarity and transparency around all the conditions and standards applicable to the use and operation of all kerbside waste collection systems.
Promote waste minimisation supporting the achievement of the regional Waste Management and Minimisation Plan targets.
