A Korimako, our native Bellbird are often heard but rarely seen. To have one flitting around our place was so wonderful to see, and hear. The blue around the Korimako's bill and face is pollen from our native fuschia. Over the past few days the luck I've had in our garden has been amazing. Karori is one great place to see a range of native, and sometimes rare and beautiful wildlife."

Saw it again on way home near Shooting Butts Road, heading toward Jellicoe Street. Stopped to pick him up and take to vets but wouldn't let me near him. A couple of passing farmers also tried but to no avail.
He's multi coloured, large black/whiteand ginger patches. He's very muddy and has a choker chain around neck.
