EASING THE PAIN

Michael from Trentham

I live next to a park, which is increasing in popularity capped with a growing population. Every day at least one child falls off a bike or scooter while riding along the footpath. And which area of their body is most likely at the receiving end - their knees of course.
There is pain, crying, tears, bruises and sometimes blood.
What to do as a preventative measure? Knee pads of course. The kind kids use for skate boarding.

My wife disagrees. Who would wear them? They get in the way if they want to visit the playground and wearing knee pads would interfere in riding a bike riding she says.

Some New Zealanders are re-imagining funerals by making their own coffin or having a relaxed ceremony at home. Would you want a less traditional funeral? Share your thoughts below.
