Wastewater problems; then and today

Firstly I would like to compliment Councillor Helen Swailes for her transport piece in this weeks Upper Hutt Leader.
I feel that this government is pushing barrows on many fronts far too fast.
In 2019 I sent an article that I had written relating to waste disposal and problems associated with it. It went with a covering letter to the appropriate ministers likely to be involved but apart from kind acknowledgments and that the enclosure had been sent to officials no more has been heard.
I have attached a copy with an addition at the end and ask you a question.
Do you flush paper, solids and fats down the sink or drain?
If so. Why? Lack of understanding about their possible implications. Couldn't care less. Easy option.
I would like to hear from you. Many thanks.

What to do for a warm home when the frost of winter and the cost of living are both on the rise? Click on over or come see us at The Warehouse.

You don’t need to spend big to create a healthy home, and you can start with good curtains. Open them during the day to let the warmth in, then close them at night to keep cold air out. A low-cost heater will keep your air warm at night while you snuggle under blankets and flannelette sheets.

Keep your whānau cosy this winter with us.

"This is a photo of my five year-old retired greyhound Bella in her favourite position on the couch. I have had Bella for three years and she is my second adopted (not rescued) greyhound. Before her I had Harley for 9 years. Greyhounds are perfect pets: they are affectionate, don’t smell, are very relaxed and need very little exercise. They are not called couch potatoes for nothing!"

Its been rumoured and even stated as fact that a section of Alexander Road will be closed to traffic coming from both directions for upwards of three months.

Well the good news for people especially living in the Wallaceville Estate is that if heading north, the road will be open 24/7.

But if heading south, a section of the Alexander Road nearest to Ward Street will be closed to traffic for a few months.

Blame this on the Gillies organisation with their housing developments on the right and on the left and roading alignments, new roundabout and T section.
