Missing cat from Wallaceville Estate

Daniel from Trentham

My ginger and white boy cat, Riley, has gone missing from 36 Gilruth Road, last seen about 10pm on Monday evening 24 Feb. It’s about the 25th time he’s gone from home since I moved here in May 19. Each time he’s gone walk-about he’s headed back to his old stomping ground around Pinehill Cres / Evergreen Cres in Trentham but he hasn’t been spotted there this time so may have gone somewhere else.
He’s quite chilled, he doesn’t meow much, tends to squeak more than meow and doesn’t like to be picked up but does get attracted to cat food when he’s hungry. He’s a big fluffy cat with no collar but is micro-chipped. Please text or call me on 021 1772833 if you see him. Thanks.

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!

Poll: Would you participate in local initiatives aimed at stopping plastic from reaching our oceans?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

Volunteers will be scouring the foreshore, riverbanks, and islands for rubbish on Saturday the 13th as part of the Clean Up the Hutt event.

This initiative helps stop plastic from reaching our oceans and makes our waterways cleaner and safer for everyone.

We want to know: Should this be rolled out across all coastal cities in Aotearoa? And more importantly… would you get involved? 💚

Want the details? The Post has you covered.
