Wastewater problems; then and today

Keith from Elderslea

Firstly I would like to compliment Councillor Helen Swailes for her transport piece in this weeks Upper Hutt Leader.
I feel that this government is pushing barrows on many fronts far too fast.
In 2019 I sent an article that I had written relating to waste disposal and problems associated with it. It went with a covering letter to the appropriate ministers likely to be involved but apart from kind acknowledgments and that the enclosure had been sent to officials no more has been heard.
I have attached a copy with an addition at the end and ask you a question.
Do you flush paper, solids and fats down the sink or drain?
If so. Why? Lack of understanding about their possible implications. Couldn't care less. Easy option.
I would like to hear from you. Many thanks.

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
