Top Staging Tips

Garry Tranter from Price My House for Free Limited

If you’ve ever sold a home you’ll know this, that first impressions count!

When Hollywood’s hottest stars from Brad Pitt to Scarlett Johansen want to sell their homes the first person they call is home stager to the stars Meredith Baer.

Staging your home to sell can add 20% more to your sale price, celebrity home stager to the stars Meredith Baer, says that celebrities have the same problems as all home owners do when they’re planning on listing their properties on the market, de-cluttering and refining the look to appeal to a broad or specific market.

Meredith tips -

1. Hold off on renovations – Add a fresh coat of paint instead.

2. Crisp white bedding – Home stagers secret tip, place a duvet inner under the bottom sheet and in-between the top sheets to create a beautiful soft luxurious look.

3. Fluffy white towels – If there is any surface that doesn’t look that great in the bathroom or laundry just add towels.

4. Add a cookbook to the kitchen – Leave a cookbook open on the kitchen bench top, choose a recipe that looks delicious.

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

DOC is rolling out a new tool to help figure out what to tackle first when it comes to protecting our threatened species and the things putting them at risk.

Why does this matter? As Nikki Macdonald from The Post points out, we’re a country with around 4,400 threatened species. With limited time and funding, conservation has always meant making tough calls about what gets attention first.

For the first time, DOC has put real numbers around what it would take to do everything needed to properly safeguard our unique natural environment. The new BioInvest tool shows the scale of the challenge: 310,177 actions across 28,007 sites.

Now that we can see the full picture, it brings the big question into focus: how much do we, as Kiwis, truly value protecting nature — and what are we prepared to invest to make it happen?

We hope this brings a smile!
