Upper Hutt shows it support for Ukraine
Upper Hutt is showing its solidarity with the people of Ukraine by lighting up its fantail sculpture on State Highway Two, blue and gold.
The fantail welcomes people to Upper Hutt and Mayor Wayne Guppy says lighting it up in the colours of Ukraine sends an important message.
“Our thoughts are with those in our community who are affected by the conflict in Ukraine. We've lit up our iconic fantail on SH2 in blue and gold, joining other monuments and landmarks around the world, to show our support.”
We're talking new year resolutions...
Tidying the house before going to bed each night, meditating upon waking or taking the stairs at work.
What’s something quick, or easy, that you started doing that made a major positive change in your life?
What word sums up 2024, neighbours?
If 2020 was the year of lockdowns, banana bread, and WFH (work from home)....
In one word, how would you define 2024?
We're excited to see what you come up with!
