Tell us what you think of Main St?

Nicholas Boyack Reporter from Community News

Hopefully you will have seen the recent story in the Upper Hutt Leader about the future of Main St.
Upper Hutt Mayor Wayne Guppy said all options, including apartments, are on the table for the future development of Main Street. A recent social media post by Marita Manns Maass resulted in a wide ranging discussion on the future of the main shopping street.
Maass, who described the "street as a dog's breakfast" suggested the council should look to Europe for design inspiration and for ways to reduce the number of empty shops.
Ideas suggested included making the street pedestrian only.
Tell us what you would like to see done with the street to make it more attractive.
