Mōhio Para – Waste Wise
We all have a responsibility to better manage and minimise our waste. The short point is, we have to reduce the amount of waste going to landfill.
Helping households, community organisations and businesses in Upper Hutt reduce, reuse and recycle as much as possible is a big goal for us.
But sometimes it’s hard to know where to start, or to see how the little bit we do can have an impact.
So we’ve created a new campaign, Mōhio Para – Waste Wise, focusing on the key elements waste reduction. They’re easy to remember, they all start with R!
Think of them as the seven golden rules, and by following them, we’ll have a big impact on our environment.
There is lots of handy advice and landfills on our website, got to upperhuttcity.com/wastewise to find out more. We’ll be in touch again soon with more waste chat.
