How do you see the future?
We’re working through a review of our District Plan and are proposing some big changes for residential and rural development. It’s called Plan Change 50
There are a number of changes being proposed, like:
- Requirements for good design outcomes for any residential intensification to make sure intensification is done right.
- Protection of water resource in urban environments - requirements for all new residential developments to manage stormwater run-off, ensuring this is the same as pre-development.

Feedback closes 30 August 2021
