Foreign matter found in canned product
Popular food label Value has issued a nationwide recall of specific batches of its canned chopped tomatoes, after it was discovered that stones may be present in the product.
Consumers are asked to check the batch number on the side of the can against the numbers provided below and return their can/s to their retailer for a full refund.
What you need to know:
- Batch numbers SMS1 J213, TTA1 J214, TTA1 J215, and TTA1 J217 are affected by this recall.
- The product is sold in New World, Pak’n Save, Four Square, Gilmours, and Trents stores nationwide.

HAKA HEAVEN AT TMP
So in Auckland last Sunday evening, the world record for a mass haka was achieved with just a small crowd of around 6500 Aucklanders.
I know Wellington could easily do better.
Just get the Upper Hutt City Council to spearhead a mass haka at the massive and well groomed Trentham Memorial Park on a sunny afternoon and we will nail it, hopefully double it.
The event would not only be a world record haka attempt but an occasion to showcase other attractions and allow for the presence of mobile food outlets.
The haka the All Blacks and Black Ferns perform are famous and very well regarded world wide. World tv such as CNN featured the recird breaking haka on their news programmes.
