Hospice Quilt Raffle
Large colourful Grandmothers' Garden quilt, made by Crafty Angels of UH, is being raffled to raise funds to help Te Omanga Hospice decorate their new facility. Currently on show in the UH Hospice shop, it will be displayed in the LH Hospice Shop from Tuesday 15th, and in the Petone Hospice Shop from 5 February. Raffle tickets available in the Hospice Shop $2 each or 3 for $5. Beautiful quilt, please come and have a look.
Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?
As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

Wheelchair Needed
