email Scams

Sandra from Timberlea

Been asked to share this post from the 'Leads Forum':

Quite a few people in our area have reported receiving a large number of scam emails. NetSafe have created a service people can forward the emails to, and they will deal with them by creating a bogus automated responder which wastes the scammers' time to slow them down from scamming new victims.

"If you’ve received a scam email, forward it to me@rescam.org and we’ll take it from there. We’ll even send you an unedited summary of the conversations Re:scam has had with the scammer – sometimes they can be quite humorous."

You can find out more about Re:scam and how it works at www.rescam.org......
For information and advice about scams, visit the Netsafe website."

Worth a try. One may pick up some hints to try on the 'Phone scammers' too 😝

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
