Donate your curtains this winter
Wellington Curtain Bank needs 300 more pairs of curtains before the end of winter to meet demand. Supported by Sustainability Trust, the Curtain Bank provides free, lined curtains to low-income families who need a hand to warm up their homes. We upcycle donated curtains and need a ready supply to support the more than 500 families a year who apply for them. Poll: Would you participate in local initiatives aimed at stopping plastic from reaching our oceans?
Volunteers will be scouring the foreshore, riverbanks, and islands for rubbish on Saturday the 13th as part of the Clean Up the Hutt event.
This initiative helps stop plastic from reaching our oceans and makes our waterways cleaner and safer for everyone.
