Capital E’s Festival Has Launched!
New Zealand’s biggest arts festival for children has started! From now until 25 March you and your family will experience some of the coolest performance acts made to make you go “ooooo and ahhhh”.
For 2 weeks you’ll watch incredibly versatile artists that specialise in fun, colliding and energising art forms. Dance blends with live music and interactive storytelling; theatre becomes participatory; brass bands perform opera. Capital E has gathered artists from all over the world and New Zealand to bring truly surprising encounters for Wellington’s children and young people. Expect the unexpected! As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
