Upper Hutt Women's Centre is holding a garage sale this coming Wednesday 2nd August from 10am to 2pm. We are located at 6 Sinclair Street (next to UH Health Centre). Lots of clothing, linen, household items, pay what you can afford. All funds raised go towards helping families in need.
Trentham Ecological Restoration Programme are holding a planting day today from 11-3 along the river at the end of Davis Field in Upper Hutt.
Free sausage sizzle and cuppa for helpers.
BYO gumboots, we will provide the spades and gloves.
I am currently looking for someone to take my chook house and chooks (5 brown shavers plus one other). One year old laying well. Chook house is large and has some fencing with it.

Huge amounts of zip lock bags, and plastics, cans etc. I filled 3 plastic bags of rubbish, which didn't even put a dent in the amount of rubbish down there. I'd encourage anyone who walks the beach or takes there dog there to bring a bag and help collect the rubbish, and recycle what you can!
It's really bad now, in 20 years it will be way worse unless we be proactive about all the plastics. Think of future generations!

The Major Minors Children’s Choir was formed in 2012 and we have been singing strong for the last five years so we want to celebrate!
As part of our celebration season, we would like to invite past members to join us in our celebration concert as they have all helped us become what we are today.
The concert will be at 2.30pm, Sunday 19th November 2017 at the Upper Hutt Baptist Church.
We would be able to send our lyrics/ YouTube links prior. We are happy for you to either attend the whole term and learn the full programme, or just learn 2-4 key songs and attend the last few rehearsals – that commitment level is up to you and we are happy to be flexible.
The practices for this concert will start on 27th August 2017.
