We’d love for you to be part of the Wellington Marathon this year on Sunday 1 July. You’d be helping the more than 186,000 Kiwis who are living with heart disease...these are people we love; people in our families and communities.

This year we need to raise $20,000 to help fund much needed heart research and specialist training for cardiologists – will you support us in this goal?

There are so many ways you can help:
- Join the Heart Racer team
- Become an event volunteer on the day
- Donate to the Heart Racer fundraising page

We look forward to seeing you there!

Morning Team,

Have been having a discussion with some on the council who have tried suggesting the above but have had the idea rejected as too hard, I think the saving in costs alone, mailing costs, paper etc would justify the move and be a good move for the environment.

This is the of use of email to advise residents when rates are due and reminder emails when the payment is near due date. Also a council run website where residents can log on and check the value of their property and where they are with rate payments.

What do you think.

It’s Easter and the roads are going to be busy. Because the holiday falls early this year, chances are the weather might be warmer. And that will encourage a lot of motorcycle riders to get out and about.

Brittany Morrow talks about the motorcycle crash that changed her life. Dressed only in basic streetwear, the 20-year-old fell off the back of a ‘bike travelling at 120mph and was partially skinned alive. Brittany speaks eloquently about what happened that day, the aftermath and how she now champions wearing the right protective gear on every ride. Watch it, and please pass on the message to anyone you know who rides. And encourage them to take Ride Forever coaching.
