Are you up with the council's financial situation?
Ratepayers in the South Waikato owe almost $2.5 million to their district council, which has also reported an operating deficit of $1.92 million and net debt of $19.6 million.
South Waikato district councillors will discuss the council’s latest financial performance report, which explains its financial position up to November 30 last year, at a committee meeting on Thursday.
