Stolen set of bagpipes
Yesterday our house was burgled. Amongst items taken were my set of bagpipes. These are no good to anyone else. They are made from African Blackwood and have brass coloured trims. The bag is bright red in colour, and has red woolen cords around the drones. Would very much like for these to be returned.

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

Wild weather in the Waikato
The Waikato really copped it over the weekend, with wild weather leaving a hefty clean-up bill that may run into the millions.
